It follows news that electronics retailer Currys has dropped Royal Mail as its delivery partner ahead of the pre-Christmas rush.

AJ Bell investment director Russ Mold said it was “certainly a possibility” that more companies would follow suit. “There’s no shortage of other parcel companies,” Mold said.
Currys’ move – which only covers smaller goods and is expected to be temporary – came as Royal Mail brought forward final Christmas postal dates by a week as more payment strikes have been announced.
