The London Eye, Wembley Arch, Royal Albert Hall, Principality Stadium and Lincoln Cathedral were among the landmarks that lit a vibrant ‘NHS blue’ during the emotional salute.

The Clap For Carers campaign, which started online, was organized because “in these unprecedented times, they need to know that we are thankful,” said the organizers.

It follows similar moves in Italy and Spain – which have the world’s highest death toll – who created amazing scenes earlier this month when they applauded from terraces in the cities of the countries.
