Royal Commentator: ‘The Royal Family Can’t Match Harry and Meghan’ Publicity’ Amid Rising Influence”

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly achieving significant success while the royal family struggles to maintain the same level of public attention. These observations were shared by royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams during an interview with The sun.

Fitzwilliams highlighted the challenges the Royal Family faces in capturing public interest compared to the Sussexes. She said: “The problem with the Royal Family at the moment is that they just can’t do something that attracts attention at the same level – and attention is important if you’re a royal.”

While acknowledging the hard work of other royals, Fitzwilliams noted that their efforts often go unnoticed by the general public. “Of course the Princess Royal and the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh and others do excellent work and do visits abroad. But they are not particularly high profile and I don’t think they want to be,” she said. This lack of high profile engagement poses a challenge for the Royal Family as it attempts to remain relevant in a rapidly changing world.

Fitzwilliams also spoke about the potential impact of Harry and Meghan’s upcoming trip to Cambodia. He warned that the couple’s activities could overshadow those of the Royal Family, drawing even more public attention to their initiatives. “It’s going to require an enormous amount of publicity, and the Royal Family will not be able to match it in any way, as far as I can foresee,” Fitzwilliams said.

The comment highlights the difficulties the Royal Family faces in maintaining its influence in the public sphere, particularly in the wake of the Sussexes’ continued media presence. As Harry and Meghan forge their own path, the Royal Family may find it increasingly difficult to compete for the public attention that is crucial to their continued relevance and influence.
