Roy Keane slams Man United’s ‘CRIMINAL’ defending in injury time and singles out Marcus Rashford for criticism as Erik ten Hag’s men surrender first-half lead over Liverpool

Roy Keane criticized Manchester United after Liverpool scored twice just before half-time to turn their FA Cup tie at Old Trafford on its head.

Scott McTominay put United ahead after 10 minutes, and the Red Devils looked more likely to score a second, before Alexis Mac Allister’s deflected shot went in in the 44th minute.

Then, just three minutes later, poor United defending allowed Mohamed Salah to put the Reds ahead at half-time.

Manchester United legend Keane slammed his former team’s defense and criticized Marcus Rashford.

He said: ‘ThThey are too open. They need someone to protect the back four. Rashford, my God. Go out and catch it

“Playing from behind in added time is a crime.”

Until then it had been a positive performance from the Red Devils, who before this match had not lost an FA Cup tie at home to Liverpool in over 100 years.

But United’s defensive deficiencies became apparent during the closing stages of the second half.

The warning signs were there after Wataru Endo had a goal disallowed for a marginal offside on Salah.

They then collapsed with Mac Allister’s deflected effort and Salah’s goal on the rebound from an Andre Onana save put the Reds ahead.

Rashford recently criticized people who questioned his commitment to the Red Devils after a difficult season.

He told the Players’ Tribune: “Listen, I’m not a perfect person.” When I make a mistake, I’ll be the first to raise my hand and say I need to do better.

“But if you ever question my commitment to Manchester United, that’s when I have to speak up.”
