Roy Keane and English legend Jill Scott exchanged friendly banter over makeup while filming the latest episode of Overlap’s Stick to Football Podcast along with Gary Neville and Ian Wright.
Footage of the exchange was shared as part of a behind-the-scenes segment and began with Scott joining his colleagues at a breakfast table in Germany.
Wright greeted Scott by asking: “What’s up, princess?” But Keane’s welcome was slightly different. Keane took issue with the former Lioness over her decision to wear an England shirt, complaining: “What are you wearing a shirt for?”
Neville then attempted to mock Irishman Keane by joking that Scott was wearing the shirt because England were already “qualified for the quarter-finals” of Euro 2024 after being drawn to face Slovakia in the last 16.
After Wright referenced England’s dismal group stage performance by commenting that Gareth Southgate’s team had “vomited over the line”, Scott delivered the first verbal blow to Keane.

Scott, 37, made his entrance on the latest episode of the podcast wearing an England shirt.
Keane, 52, mocked Scott for his clothing choice before exchanging insults about makeup.
Scott asked the former Manchester United captain: “Did you miss your recovery appointment?”
After taking a bite of toast, Keane paused for a moment to digest Scott’s jibe before responding with a brutal taunt.
He said, “You’ve been there for two hours… and I assure you it hasn’t made any difference.”
Keane’s serious response sent Neville and Wright into a fit of laughter, while Scott looked surprised but continued to smile.
Keane smiled and quickly apologized, saying: “Sorry Jill, I’m just joking.”
Scott later said he could take Keane’s words “as a compliment” for his “natural” look.
“Exactly, exactly,” Keane nodded sheepishly, before Neville said, “Naturally beautiful, you didn’t need it in the first place, Jill.”
Scott responded, “I definitely did,” before quickly changing the topic of conversation.

Former midfielder Scott made 161 appearances for the Lionesses between 2006 and 2022, winning five trophies including UEFA Women’s EURO 2022.
Fellow former midfielder Keane represented the Republic of Ireland 67 times at senior international level between 1991 and 2005.
Later in the podcast, the four former players discussed who they would like to see in Southgate’s starting XI against Slovakia on Sunday.
After much deliberation, Neville decided he would make three changes to the team that started Tuesday’s 0-0 draw with Slovenia, replacing Kieran Trippier, Conor Gallagher and Bukayo Saka with Trent Alexander-Arnold, Kobbie Mainoo and Cole Palmer.
