Roxy Jacenko has released a new statement after her former business partners said they regret doing business with the PR guru.

The Singapore-based Australian publicist, 44, made headlines last month when she promised to personally refund the 7,000 people who had signed up for her Roxy’s Brand Bootcamp online business course.

The promotion, which Jacenko had launched with business partners Youssef Tleis and Kassim Alaouie, included several prizes, including a luxury home in Cronulla.

Participants paid between $29 and $499 for the chance to win extravagant prizes, but faced uncertainty after Jacenko called in the liquidators of the trio’s ailing company, Roxy’s Bootcamp Pty Ltd.

In a joint statement posted on social media earlier this week, Tleis and Alaouie expressed their regret and apologized to those affected.

‘Our main concern has always been you, the public and especially those who have participated and bought a ticket to this promotion,’ they stated.

“We submitted a cross-request requesting orders… to be able to run the promotion and award those prizes,” they continued.

‘We sincerely apologize to all of you. “We fought as hard as we could and were even willing to make personal commitments to support our fight,” the couple added.

‘We would like to express our deepest regret for having established this partnership with Ms. Jacenko. It has been an incredibly challenging and eye-opening experience. “We sincerely apologize,” the couple added.

“We thank you for your understanding and continued support,” they concluded.

‘We deeply regret any inconvenience or distress. We will do our best to keep you informed.’

Meanwhile, in a statement issued Saturday morning, Jacenko revealed that he will personally refund ticket holders.

‘In life, we can all make mistakes. We are only human. This “partnership” was a mistake and is a life lesson. “I want to be clear that I never did anything other than act in the interest of the consumers who purchased the course to try to deliver it,” she wrote in an Instagram statement.

“It became clear this was not going to end well and I had to apply for an injunction in the Supreme Court of New South Wales, which was granted on June 5, 2024.”

Prior to this legal action, Roxy revealed that it took proactive steps to settle outstanding invoices and ensure the integrity of the $250,000 prize fund for the eventual winner.

Jacenko highlighted the lack of control over the company’s financial accounts, including the $253,000 they contain, and expressed frustration at the lengthy legal process, now extended until July 5, 2024.

Taking personal responsibility for the situation, Jacenko reaffirmed his commitment to making refunds.

‘As such, I am taking matters into my own hands. I am offering the refund personally based on what I said on my personal Instagram about 3 weeks ago. Life lesson: don’t do business with strangers,” he concluded.
