Rowville, Melbourne, neighbourhood war breaks out over littering with VB stubbies

Fed up, a neighbor left an aggressive note for a dog walker who kept leaving his beer bottles in a communal garden bed.

A passerby snapped a photo of a collection of Victoria Bitter beer bottles around the base of a tree in Rowville, Melbourne’s south-east, alongside the note.

The short letter read, “To the sheepdog idiot who throws his VB stumps into the pretty bush, keep doing it and they’ll come back to you through your f***ing window.”

Photos of the bottles and note were shared to Reddit on Wednesday, with the poster sarcastically writing “welcome to Rowville.”

Dozens of commenters criticized the garbage man, saying they had experienced similar problems in their neighborhood.

“I don’t understand why they don’t just throw it in their trash. It seems some people don’t really bother or feel guilty about litter,” one person wrote.

“It’s always VB drinkers, the only bottle I’ve seen on bush walks,” said another.

“The same people who leave their cart in a parking lot when they’re done. “Not my problem, someone else can solve it, my time is more valuable,” a third commented.

“Someone is doing this to those huge Sapporo beer cans in my front yard, weekly for the last two years,” another wrote.

The note warned the polluter not to leave his bottles behind or the bill leaver would throw them 'through your goddamn window'

However, a Redditor explained how they take their secret revenge on litter.

“I love seeing people dump their fast food shit and then go grocery shopping. I usually pick it up and put it under their windshield wipers.

“I think it’s the little things in life that bring the most joy.”
