A mother and her baby were kidnapped from a shopping center and forced on a terrifying walk through Melbourne by a man armed with a knife.
The woman had just parked at the supermarket at the Stud Park shopping center in Rowville, in Melbourne’s south-east, about 6pm last Friday when she suddenly confronted the man.
The attacker, described as of Asian appearance and between 20 and 35 years old, threatened the mother with a knife and forced her back inside her Suzuki S Cross.
Victoria Police have released photographs of a man they want to speak to after a mother and her baby were kidnapped from a Melbourne shopping centre.
He sat in the back seat next to her baby and then forced her to drive to electrical shops in Cranbourne and Frankston.
The man then forced the mother to buy four Apple MacBooks while he remained in the back seat with the child.
He then made his way to the driver’s seat and told the mother to sit in the back seat before driving to the Robert Booth Reservation.
After two terrifying hours, the man got out of the car and fled down the Dandenong Creek path, carrying the four laptops.
The mother and her baby were not physically harmed during the terrifying encounter, but the killer is still on the run.
The offender was last seen carrying a shopping bag containing two Apple MacBook Pro computers in their boxes and two more boxes under his arm.
He was wearing a gray hoodie, a fluoro green vest over the top of the hoodie, and black/gray pants with black sneakers.

Victoria Police released photographs of a man they want to speak to about the incident on Friday.
