Rowan Baxter was obsessed with porn, as a child’s cousin says

Rowan Baxter planned to kill his ex-partner and son from a previous relationship before killing his wife Hannah Clarke and their three children.

Nikki Brooks, Hannah’s best friend, shared horrifying details about Baxter’s well-known history of violence – and revealed how the violent husband bragged about his aggressive behavior against his own wife.

The 42-year-old told her about his malicious plot to kill his ex-girlfriend and their son Isaiah back when the relationship just ended and even admitted that he was buying a rope to carry out the murders.

“He had driven to do it. He had prepared what he needed to kill Isaiah and [Isaiah’s mother] and didn’t do it then, “Brooks said The Australian.

“Isaiah might have been seven or eight. It was the first time she would leave him. “

Baxter had also told Hannah about a separate incident in which he nearly killed someone after being “mad” in a rage when Isaiah was still a baby.

He was later convicted of serious physical injury from the incident.

Isaiah Baxter, now 22, shared his support for the Clarke family in the aftermath of the horrific suicide while pronouncing his murderous father.

The young man revealed that he had also been the victim of abuse by the growing Baxter, and said, “his terrible upbringing has caused irreversible damage to my mental health.”

“If I could take the place of Laianah, Aaliyah, and Trey, I would do so in a heartbeat,” he said in a heartbreaking letter to the family.

Friends have since put forward stories about the abusive and controlling behavior of Baxter over the years until his horrific attack.

Alana Hampson revealed her cousin Rowan showed “little hints” of cruelty throughout his life and had a special aggression and contempt for women as a child

“I knew he had it. I thought that hopefully everyone could withdraw, “Mrs. Brooks added.

Baxter’s cousin Alana Hampson, who lived with him in New Zealand after she left home as a teenager, said that Rowan had “dark secrets” that made him a cruel monster that could kill his three children.

“He was a monster, even when he was a child, I think he was a monster … He was very controlling and manipulative,” Hampson said Newshub.

“I didn’t like being with him because I felt uncomfortable. The way Rowan always talked to his mother was … disrespectful. “

Mrs. Hampson said that Baxter had an obsession with sex and treated women from a very young age with contempt.

“I think Rowan should have gone through counseling as a child,” she said.

‘The children started using porn and always watched porn [and] his mother accepted it, he treated his mother as c ** p. She was a nice lady. ”

Baxter’s mother died of a brain aneurysm when he was in his twenties, and according to Mrs. Hampson, he had a downward spiral.

She revealed that Baxter was a victim of abuse herself, started having sex at a young age and had an “ugly” life growing up, but was never able to change for the better.

The 42-year-old allegedly abused his wife Hannah Clarke for ten years before she issued an order for domestic violence against him.

He lost custody of his children in February after he broke the order, and only a few days later killed them and his wife by setting them on fire.

Mrs. Hampson had previously told Daily Mail Australia that Baxter had shown a certain aggression and contempt as a child.

“There was a lot of violence and rough play … Rowan had no respect for women and talked dirty to women … He was in the head,” she said.

Her mother, Dorothy Ann Baxter, is the sister of Rowan’s father.

Dorothy Ann described her cousin as “a good boy” who “must have lost the plot.”

“He has lost the plot. I do not know. He couldn’t handle it, but one day he just lost it … But I know he wouldn’t do it on his own, so he had to … just lost the plot … I’m not saying that Rowan was good for what he did, but people lose the plot, “she said.

It is after another cousin alongside Rowan, Sandra Taylor, told Daily Mail Australia that he “had a dangerous sense of ownership and right to his wife and children.”

“Rowan believed that women are two things – to clean the house and to be a prostitute,” the mother of one said.

“This was a man with a level of hatred and contempt for their mother so great that he would make this choice – the most horrific and despicable choices.”

She said she wasn’t surprised when she was “shaken by the core” when she heard what her cousin had done.

Baxter burned his estranged wife Hannah Clarke and their three young children alive in their family cars in a vicious act of domestic violence before committing suicide in Camp Hill, Brisbane last week.

Laianah, four years old, Aaliyah, six and Trey, three, died on the scene. Hannah died in the hospital on Wednesday after terrible burns to 97 percent of her body.

Three days before the four-fold murder-suicide, Baxter told a friend he would do “nothing stupid,” the Sydney Morning Herald reported.

The couple spoke for two hours because the friend feared that Baxter was suicidal after his estranged wife Hannah Clarke took a domestic order against him.

During the interview, Baxter revealed that he was devastated that he was not allowed to see his children.

Speaking of Mrs. Clarke, he said “she can do what she wants from me, but don’t take my children away from me, that’s all I have left in life,” the friend told the paper.

The friend also revealed that when they broke up after the meeting, he warned Baxter to “do nothing stupid.”

“The last thing I said to him when he walked away was” buddy, don’t do anything stupid, “and he turned slightly as he walked away, and he just said,” no buddy, I’m not going to do anything stupid. ” I kind of thought he could harm himself, “he said.

The friend said that Baxter had extreme depressions that made him a “monster” three days later.

“If someone told me that Rowan was capable of that, I would not tell his children in any way. He loved his children more than anything else in the world, “the friend said.
