Newcastle came from behind to draw 1-1 with League One side Rotherham as Steve Bruce’s men continued their preparations for the season.
The Magpies had to wait until the 84th minute to find the back of the net, with Paul Warne’s team frustrating their Premier League opponents for a long time.

Wallsend-born Michael Smith, who started his career at Darlington, opened the scoring in the eighth minute when he headed a cross from Mickel Miller from the left wing.
Bruce provided a strong base with Callum Wilson leading the charge with Dwight Gayle, Matt Ritchie and Ryan Fraser also being part of the attack.
