This comes as fans speculate that O’Donnell’s character Mary, who little is currently known about, will be Miranda’s new love interest in the upcoming third season.
While filming the on-screen lovers-to-be, Nixon’s real-life wife, Christine Marinoni, was also seen on set and showing her support.
It was previously announced that O’Donnell would be joining the all-star cast in early May following reports of the departures of Karen Pittman and Sara Ramirez.

Since the exciting news, there has been much speculation that O’Donnell’s character Mary would be the new love interest for Nixon’s Miranda.
Last season, Miranda dated Ramírez’s character, Che Díaz, until they parted ways with the series and the actor was kicked off the show.
The Sex and the City reboot series was renewed for a second season last summer, and production on the next season began that same month.
As filming is still ongoing, a premiere date for the series has not yet been announced, but it is expected to launch sometime in 2025.
