The latest: The Conners star Sara Gilbert, 46, and her ex Linda Perry, 56, finalized their divorce and custody agreement on Friday, nearly two years after ending their six-year marriage.

Roseanne alum Sara Gilbert has finalized her divorce from singer-songwriter Linda Perry, five years after they first went their separate ways.

Perry, 59, and Gilbert, 49, married in 2014 and welcomed their now nine-year-old son, Rhodes, the following year before separating in 2019.

In late 2021 it was widely reported that the couple had finalized their divorce, but it has now emerged that they were only declared legally separated at that time.

Now, however, the judicial process has concluded and the marriage was officially dissolved last Thursday, according to reports People.

The former couple agreed to joint custody of their son in 2021, and in the new documents, Gilbert marked an item indicating that the agreement “has not changed.”

They share both legal and physical custody, and day-to-day decisions about Rhode’s education will be “the responsibility of the party in whose home Rhodes currently resides,” according to the terms of their separation.

However, both “are ordered to regularly consult and share information regarding Rhodes’ care, welfare, physical and mental health, education and well-being.”

Gilbert filed an uncontested petition for dissolution of marriage on October 24 of this year, and the divorce was finalized last week, on December 19.

Neither Gilbert nor Perry will pay child support in the agreement, Us weekly reported their legal separation in 2021, citing mediation in the split.

The actress and the 4 Non Blondes vocalist also agreed to all financial terms, such as spousal support and asset division, separately, the outlet reported.

The Conners star filed for divorce from Perry in December 2019 after nearly six years of marriage, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their split.

She listed the date of separation as August 13 and requested that no spousal support be paid to Linda or herself.

They met in 2011 and married in 2014, after Perry proposed in 2013.

Perry spoke with Us weekly about their separation saying: ‘It’s life, man. Life is happening and you are a witness to it. You know, this is a moment in life and people will be able to witness it and… I’ve had an incredible journey and I’m still on an incredible journey.”

The comedy stars have had annual deals, according to the outlet, as opposed to the industry’s traditional six-year deals for talent, as it is a spinoff of the Roseanne reboot.

Gilbert, Goodman and Metcalf have earned around $400,000 per episode, while Goranson’s salary has increased substantially over the first three seasons, according to the outlet.

The four artists, who appeared on the original Roseanne show, get a percentage of the series’ revenue stream.

The Conners impersonated Roseanne after Roseanne Barr’s firing from the show in May 2018 after sending a racist tweet about Valerie Jarrett, a former adviser to former President Barack Obama. The Roseanne character was later killed off in the plot of the series, which remains ABC’s top comedy show.
