The body of a young woman was found dead inside a unit in Sydney’s eastern suburbs.
Emergency services were called to the unit on Hardy Street in Rose Bay, where police discovered the woman’s body at around 9.20am.
Despite the work of the paramedics, they were unable to revive her.
NSW Police subsequently arrested a 32-year-old man at the scene.
He was wanted on an outstanding warrant, but has not been charged with any crime and is assisting police with their investigation.
“A crime scene has been established and an investigation has been launched into the circumstances surrounding the incident,” a police statement said.
“A post-mortem examination will be carried out to determine the cause of the woman’s death.”
