Rory McIlroy and wife Erica Stoll enjoyed a night out in London weeks after the PGA Tour star’s shocking about-face in his divorce.

The 35-year-old Northern Irishman shocked the world when he filed for divorce from his wife of seven years in May, just days before the start of the PGA Championship, and left golf fans even more shocked when he made a U-turn just a month later.

The four-time major winner called off his divorce from Erica, 36, last month, saying their “best future was as a family”. The couple have a three-year-old daughter, Poppy.

And just weeks after re-coupled, the pair appear to have truly rekindled their romance as they were spotted out and about in a rare public encounter.

Diane Donald, the wife of victorious European captain Luke Donald, shared a photo of the group outing on her Instagram Story with Sister Sledge’s “We Are Family” playing in the background.

McIlroy was seated next to Donald, who will serve a second term at Bethpage in New York next year, but it is not clear where in the British capital the group of golfers were dining and drinking.

Shane Lowry, Tommy Fleetwood, Nicolai Hojgaard and Tyrrell Hatton, who will travel to Spain for LIV Golf’s Andalucía event this week, were also gathered around the table.

Meanwhile, Stoll was seated further down the table, between Wendy Lowry and Diane, while Clare Fleetwood and Hojgaard’s girlfriend Amanda Falkenberg joined them at the WAG end.

Diane also shared snaps of the Wimbledon entrances and of herself, Wendy and Clare on their way to SW19, but it’s unclear whether Erica and McIlroy also joined them on Centre Court.

McIlroy, Lowry, Hojgaard, Fleetwood and Hatton were members of Donald’s team that humiliated the United States with a 16.5-11.5 victory in Rome last September.

Donald was confirmed for a second term in charge in December, while his American counterparts are due to reveal his appointment on Tuesday after Tiger Woods is believed to have turned down the role.

His fellow victorious Europeans Ludvig Aberg, Viktor Hovland, Jon Rahm, Robert MacIntyre, Matt Fitzpatrick, Justin Rose and Sepp Straka were not in the big city for the meeting.

The dinner marked one of the rare occasions McIlroy and Erica have been seen together since they reunited.

The golf star had been spotted in Juno Beach, Florida, with his wife and adorable mini-me in June, less than 24 hours after his humiliating collapse on the final holes of the US Open at Pinehurst.

They joined together for what may have been a belated Father’s Day celebration at the Loggerhead Marinelife Center, near their sprawling $22 million home in Jupiter.

Both McIlroy and Erica wore their wedding rings at the start, which came just days after the Northern Irishman dramatically scrapped plans to divorce his wife of seven years.

McIlroy’s attorney, Thomas Sasser, filed a Notice of Voluntary Withdrawal on his behalf on June 11 in Palm Beach County Court after he and Erica allegedly held secret meetings at her $22 million Florida home for a month in an attempt to save their marriage.

The meetings initially focused on how they would co-parent their daughter Poppy, but conversations eventually led to them reuniting, according to to the Irish outlet RSVP Live.

The shocking move came less than a month after Erica was served with papers at the couple’s marital home in Jupiter, Florida, informing her that McIlroy wanted to end their marriage.

The May 13 petition gave Erica 20 days to file a counterclaim or risk the court granting a divorce by default.

However, as DailyMail.com exclusively revealed, the blonde beauty did not file a response or register a lawyer before the June 2 deadline.

McIlroy addressed speculation surrounding his marital status in a statement to The Guardian – two days before the first round of the US Open.

“There have been rumours about my personal life lately, which is unfortunate. Responding to every rumour is a nonsense,” McIlroy said.

‘Over the past few weeks, Erica and I have realized that our best future was to live together as a family. Thankfully, we have resolved our differences and look forward to a fresh start.’

McIlroy was in Kentucky preparing for the PGA Championship when his divorce summons was delivered to Erica at her sprawling mansion.

Their petition sought joint custody of their infant daughter and asked a judge to enforce a prenuptial agreement the couple signed before their 2017 wedding.

McIlroy, whose career earnings on the PGA Tour total nearly $87 million, met Erica, a New York native, during the 2012 Ryder Cup while she was working for the PGA of America.

He missed his alarm, but she helped him get to his playtime in Medinah, Illinois, by arranging a police escort.

They began dating several months after he abruptly called off his engagement to tennis star Caroline Wozniacki in 2014.
