Rory Feek continues to speak out amid his family’s dispute over the care of his youngest daughter, Indiana.

The 59-year-old singer-songwriter shared a blog post, titled ‘cancelled’, just three weeks after his eldest daughters took legal action against him, claiming their father had banned them from communicating with their 10-year-old sister and put her in danger.

Feek, who married his daughter’s school teacher in July, has been raising his youngest daughter in a Christian farming community linked to Homestead Heritage, which has come under fire after at least one of its members admitted to sexually abusing a minor.

In the post, Feek shares that he drove nearly two hours to Florence, Alabama, to reconcile with his estranged daughters, Heidi, 37, and Hopie, 35, after the couple accused him of exposing their younger sister to what they have called an “abusive” cult, but the trip did not go as planned.

Feek claims she arrived at Heidi’s door with a “peace offering” of lily flowers in hand in hopes that her daughters “might sit and talk, or better yet, just sit and listen to what they wanted to say and maybe have a chance to give them a hug,” the post reads.

Although it appeared that someone was home, with cars in the driveway and lights on inside, no one responded to Feek’s arrival, so he left.

Heidi said People She wasn’t home when Feek arrived, but her husband Dillon and sister Hopie were.

On the way back, Feek says he received a text from Heidi that said, “We are only willing to talk to you with a licensed therapist or attorney, or both.”

In response, Feek became enraged, arguing in his post that reconciliation is not the job of someone with a “PhD, law degree or master’s degree,” but rather something that should be worked out as a family.

Heidi confirmed that she filed legal documents against her father earlier this month and that her father was notified the day after he drove to her home.

“Regardless of the intention, it was intimidating. We have set very clear boundaries. We find it so difficult to communicate with him and feel heard that we really don’t think it’s possible without a third party,” Heidi said.

The confrontation comes after Feek’s eldest daughter claimed on Instagram that her father left her 10-year-old sister – who has Down syndrome – “in the care of a group with a well-documented history of physical and sexual abuse of children.”

“Indiana, who has special needs, deserves to be in a safe and stable environment where her well-being is the highest priority,” he wrote.

Heidi had previously expressed her frustrations with her father in a letter, later posted on Instagram, writing that she and Hopie had been trying to reach her father for months but had received no response.

He included a screenshot of several unanswered text messages sent at various points in July asking about Indiana and explaining why he felt the need to have a third party present for any communications.

“The last time we sat down to have this conversation, without a mediator as you requested, you told us that he would no longer be our father,” she wrote in the letter.

“Our hope is that this letter reaches you, so that you know where our hearts are. Love is action, not words. We forgive you for your unkind words. You called us cowards on your blog for not standing up to you. We forgive you,” she added.

Feek’s blog post went on to detail the famous singer’s experience being “cancelled,” sharing that it was something he expected and that the only thing he’s guilty of is “being part of a family that isn’t perfect” and that his family is “a work in progress.”

She says being “cancelled” has caused her to lose writing jobs and other gigs as people began to distance themselves from the country artist.

The post goes on to share rich details of her family's life on their farm in central Tennessee, noting that they're baking, canning, and pickling various things, including occasional pickleball sessions, unbothered by its supposed cancellation.

She also goes on to update Indiana or ‘Indy’s’ fun on the farm: ‘Indy has been having a blast doing 5th grade homeschooling with Rebecca, who he’s been calling Mom for about 6 weeks now.’

The post ends with a plea to keep her youngest son out of the “mud,” claiming that it is her older children who hurt her the most.

‘And finally, contrary to what they say is the reason for all this, the person my daughters and everyone else are suffering the most is our little girl.’

While legal proceedings are ongoing, details of the filing remain confidential as Indiana is a minor.
