Ronnie Wood’s wife Sally has revealed the secret behind the couple’s happy 12-year marriage.

The couple have been married since 2012 after exchanging vows during an intimate ceremony at London’s Dorchester Hotel following a six-month romance, with Rod Stewart as best man.

The couple met at their workplace, the Teatro Real, nine years earlier. They then welcomed daughters Gracie Jane and Alice Rose in 2016.

And now, in a new interview, Sally, 46, opened up about life with the Rolling Stones rocker, 77, and gave insight into their happy marriage.

sally said The mirror: ‘We spent a lot of time together, we got along very well. I feel like we are very lucky because we love being at home with the girls, watching TV and going to good restaurants. We do all that anyway.’

Meanwhile, Sally said that far from living a rock and roll lifestyle, the couple love nothing more than staying up late reading books and watching TV, adding that they are ‘night owls’.

Sharing a candid look at her everyday life, she continued: ‘I take the girls to school every day but Ronnie goes to sleep at 2,3,4,5 in the morning. I think because he’s so scheduled to go on stage until 10 or 11 at night, so he has to relax after that. I have always worked at night in theaters. We are nocturnal people by nature. Ronnie usually gets up at noon.

But while the couple are perfectly content with life as it is, Sally, who is Ronnie’s third wife, said she wouldn’t rule out the couple renewing their vows in the future.

She said: ‘It’s a great idea. We did a little thing when we had been married for five years. We went to our local church and did it ourselves with the girls, and now we are 12 years old. I guess we’ve been busy with the twins.’

Last year, Sally praised her fellow musician but admitted she wished they didn’t have such a big age gap.

She told The Telegraph: ‘It’s completely on my level. He is a very nice and affectionate person. Oh God, don’t use the word “nice”, it’s so boring. He’s very funny, kind, affectionate and welcoming.’

Talking about their age difference, he said: ‘Um, well, I know it (the age difference) is there. And I wish it wasn’t, but it is. I think I had to say, “I can’t do this because of my age.”

It comes after Sally proved herself to be an ever-supportive wife last month when she joined Ronnie at the launch of an exhibition of her own work at Andrew Martin’s shop on Walton Street in Chelsea.

Ronnie looked appropriately dapper in a black two-piece suit and crisp white dress shirt as he greeted onlookers before entering.

Aside from his work with the Rolling Stones, Wood has earned accolades (and quite a bit) for his passion for art.

The musician has earned over £1 million through his paintings, with accounts filed in 2023 revealing he made a huge profit of £1,437,277 the previous year.

He discovered his talent for painting at Ealing Art College in the 1960s alongside fellow stars Freddie Mercury and Pete Townshend.

After finding fame, Ronnie picked up a paintbrush again in the ’80s.

He previously said: ‘When I paint, I lose track of time. I stay absorbed. It’s great.’

One of his paintings, unveiled in March 2023, showed the Rolling Stones, including the late drummer Charlie Watts, performing on a street in Havana.
