The Roommate is a two-character play that follows a New York City woman who leaves the city and becomes the roommate of a woman from Iowa.

As the two get to know each other, more secrets are revealed and they learn more about each other in the process.

The original 2015 version that debuted in Louisville starred Margaret Daly and Tasha Lawrence, with a 2016 version starring Jo Twiss and Rita Rehn.

The 2017 Williamstown version starred S. Epatha Merkerson and Jane Kaczmarek and a 2018 Chicago version starred Sandra Márquez and Ora Jones.

The Broadway performance will run from September 12 to December 15.
