A Romanian widower married to an 81-year-old British pastor says he was chased by prospectors after his husband left him £ 250,000 in his will.
Florin Marin, 28, wants to buy a new house and a car after selling the flat left by his late husband Philip Clements.
Clements, who moved to Bucharest to be with Marin, died on May 31, 2020, leaving all his fortune to his toy boy.

But Florin said he is now the target of gold miners who tried to start a relationship with him just for his newfound wealth.
He said, “After Philip’s death, many people were interested in a relationship with me.
‘I know why. Because of all the money I have left. I know the money will get to a lot of people from the start, but I’m not stupid. ‘
The 28-year-old model, who dramatically banned Philip’s family from his wedding after they labeled him a ‘leech’, said he wants to spend his money after selling the luxurious flat his husband left behind.
He said, ‘I want to be more relaxed after this year. I decided to sell the flat that Philip had bought me.
‘I know a lot of people think oh florin is going to be bad. No baby – I’m selling it because I wanted to make a change in my life, not because I need money.

‘I’m selling it because I want to be more relaxed and close this story. It doesn’t mean I don’t want to think about my ex-husband.
‘But I just want to start a new year, a fresh life and a fresh home. Because I have a lot of memories here with Philip and I want to keep them in my heart and in my mind, but not in the same place where I lived with him. ‘
Florin says he has tried to honor Philip’s wishes and find love again, but failed because of his broken heart.
He said, “I was trying to start a new relationship because Philip said all the time,” If I die, don’t stop here, just go ahead and find someone else, it won’t be a problem. “

Florin said he is now targeted by prospectors who tried to start a relationship with him just for his newfound wealth.
‘I started trying some relationships with some people, but I can’t because I think about him all the time.
‘All the time, because I like to talk to the people I’ve met about my past, about Philip.
‘I’m starting to get a little sad and then I think, no, I don’t want this guy for a relationship, so I turn them down. But hopefully this is a new, fresh era. ‘
Clements had only recently moved to Romania last year, before falling ill in May and being taken to a hospital in Bucharest after the medication ran out during the coronavirus blockade.
While testing negative for Covid-19, he died overnight on May 31 in a room that could not receive visitors due to lockdown restrictions.

Florin subsequently banned Philip’s family from attending his funeral and now speaks only to one of his brothers.
The couple met on online dating site Grindr and married in Kent three years ago, but their relationship was not easy.
They experienced turbulence early on when Mr. Clements tried to live in Bucharest.
Rows about Mr Marin’s clubbing into the early hours and an alleged affair with a Spaniard named Jesús saw the former pastor move back to England after just a few months, despite having sold his house to live in the Romanian capital.
They even appeared on the Jeremy Kyle show together.
The couple mended their relationship, and Mr. Clements sold his home in the United Kingdom and moved to Romania, where the couple lived off his education and church retirement.
Prior to his death, Mr. Clements had said of Marin, “I love him very much, if we were divorced for good I would be the most unhappy person in the world.”
Mr. Clements’s enraged relatives were quite adamant in their belief that Marin had ulterior motives.
Brother Anthony said, “I have told my brother many times. Florin is nothing but a gold digger who wanted to rob my brother from the moment they met. And now he has what he wanted.
‘The man is a disgrace. I have often made my feelings clear. What happened speaks for itself. Florin cashed in and did a very good job of my brother. ‘

The retired postman added: “The whole family feels the same. I have also talked to my other brother Brian about it and he is also not happy with the way Florin has benefited from Phillip.
‘We should have inherited Philips estate, but now it has all gone to Florin. But it’s not about the money because I’d rather my brother be alive. What makes us angry is the way he has been treated by his husband. ‘
He claims the couple were ‘always fighting and breaking up’. On one occasion about four years ago, I went to comfort Philip because he was in trouble. I supported him, but I also told him that Florin was not good for him. ‘
He described his late brother as’ a very intelligent man, but not very street-wise and it was easy to pull the wool over his eyes and take advantage of him. I could see what was going on, but unfortunately he couldn’t. ‘
In an exclusive interview with MailOnline following Mr. Clements’s death, Mr. Marin said, “People will think I’m a widow in a black hat crying, and I’ve cried, but two days is enough.
Philip didn’t want me to cry, he wanted people to be happy no matter what happened.
“I don’t want to show people my feelings because my husband died because some people take advantage of that and there are people who are happy because of your grief,” he added. “I am 27 years old and I am not challenged.”
