Roman Kemp poked fun at his father, Martin Kemp, on Monday after praising a BBC broadcast as ‘the best he’s ever heard’.
Despite his father’s statement, the radio host, 30, was quick to remind his father that that was indeed his own profession.
Martin shared the comical conversation on Twitter, making the statement following Arsenal’s late victory over AFC Bournemouth at the weekend.
As usual with all kickoff games at 3pm, it was not televised.
Instead, Martin had to follow the match via radio broadcast.

After the game, he took to Twitter and praised Talk Sport’s work, saying: ‘Arsenal on @talkSPORT2 was the best broadcast I’ve ever heard. That’s how you do that!!’
Echoing his father’s bold statement, Roman replied, “And your son is a radio presenter… cheers.”
Fans quickly saw the funny side of Roman’s dig.
One wrote: ‘Absolutely scream’.
“Arsenal is always first love, friend… no hard feelings!” joked another.
The pair enjoy a teasing relationship, with Martin and wife Shirlie Kemp recently revealing they planned to prank their son with their surprise revelation as Cat and Mouse on the Masked Singer.
In January, the Spandau Ballet singer, 61, and his wife of 35, Wham singer Shirlie, 60, were voted off but left the panel and viewers were shocked during the special episode called Time Machine Special.
And after their son Roman took to his social media pages to reveal his utter shock at seeing his parents revealed, the married couple said they only did the show in the first place to embarrass him.

Careless? Martin shared the comedic exchange on Twitter, making the statement following Arsenal’s late win over AFC Bournemouth at the weekend
Appearing on Roman’s Capital Breakfast show Monday morning, Martin revealed, “You know what, we actually respond just right because the only reason we did it in the first place was to embarrass him (Roman)!”
Roman then addressed a question to Mom Shirlie: “Mom, I want to ask, why didn’t you tell me? Didn’t you think I’d like to know this?’
Shirlie joked, “No! ‘Cause look at the pranks you’ve been playing on me since you were about 12 years old, and as soon as they said Masked Singer, I thought, this is going to be as good as Ro finds out…”
The show returned for the Time Machine Special episode on Saturday, with each contestant singing a song from a different time.
Martin and Shirley also arrived at the Loose Women studios on Monday to discuss being exposed as the duo on the show.
Speaking of Roman’s reaction, Shirley told the panel, “I was deep in denial. I said, “Well, you know I would never do that sort of thing”. They had their suspicions, but I kept pushing them aside.
“If they (children) lived at home, it would have been very difficult, because you leave the house, covered, from head to toe, you wear balaclavas, gloves, everything.”
Martin added: ‘When they sent you home they put you back in balaclavas, gloves and one night we couldn’t be picked up and they had to put us in a normal taxi. picked up”

Cheers! Echoing his father’s bold statement, Roman replied, “And your son is a radio presenter… cheers”
Before the singing duo was revealed, the judges had their say on who they believed was behind the mask – as Mo guessed Danny Dyer and daughter Dani, while Davina went for Sarah Michelle Gellar and Anthony Head.
Rita guessed it was David Walliams and Amanda Holden, while Jonathan said Maisie Smith and Adam Woodyatt.
But they got confused when Martin and Shirlie unexpectedly revealed themselves as the people behind the masks.
A shocked Davina said, “That was the best reveal ever, you blew my head.”
Capital FM presenter Roman couldn’t believe his eyes as he sat and watched the unveiling with his parents and his sister Harley Moon, 31.
Harley shared the moment they found out with her Instagram Stories, which dad Martin had filmed from the couch.
An animated Roman stood up with his hand over his mouth before shouting “I knew it” repeatedly while labeling his mother a “liar” for not revealing it – before giving her a hug.
Roman also shared a reaction video on his own Instagram, showing his confused face while watching the show.
“Can someone please explain what’s going on,” the Capital host asked, before pointing the camera at his parents on TV.
“ARE YOU JOKING,” Martin and Shirlie’s son wrote in his caption.

While also hilariously tweeting, “I JUST YELLED THE SENTENCE ‘TAKE IT OFF’ TO MY PARENTS, I CAN’T UNDO THAT,” after also writing, “ARE YOU F***ING JOKE.”
Shirlie revealed the news to her Instagram followers by simply sharing a photo of the costumes and writing, “It was us!!!!”
Shirlie explained why they decided to do the show on ITV, saying: ‘It’s just so off the wall. It’s so much harder to sing in the mask than you think it will be.”
While Martin admitted it wasn’t smooth sailing, he shared his nerves before the first performance: ‘I was more nervous. I could literally hear my heart in my ears.”
And after the reveal, it was a divided response from viewers, as some were in shock, while others guessed correctly.
One viewer tweeted, “Wow… cat and mouse is Martin and Shirlie Kemp… blew me away!”
“Oh my god one of the best reveals ever #catandmouse Martin and Shirlie Kemp absolutely brilliant,” wrote another.
