Houston Rockets star Dillon Brooks and Chicago Bulls veteran DeMar DeRozan were both ejected Thursday night after fighting on the court.

The ejections occurred in the third quarter after DeRozan committed a serious foul on Jalen Green.

Brooks, who has built a reputation as an agitator similar to that of Warriors star Draymond Green, took exception to Green’s foul and got in DeRozan’s face.

The two tangled with several others and bit each other’s jaws before being separated.

The group holding Brooks back, with a few Bulls also present in the mass confrontation, eventually fell to the ground before cooler heads prevailed.

Brooks’ Houston teammate Jock Landale spoke out after the Rockets’ win over the Bulls about how things need to change.

“Dillon Brooks, if you’re listening, this ain’t Memphis, man,” Landale said. “Stop getting kicked out. We need you here. We need that physicality.

Before being acquired by the Rockets last year, Brooks spent six seasons with the Grizzlies, the end of his tenure in Memphis being riddled with ejections and suspensions.

Brooks only gained attention as a dirty player in the 2022 playoffs, where he knocked Gary Payton II out of the air with a foul.

The Rockets are currently 2.5 games behind the Warriors for the final spot in the Play-In tournament.
