Before hitting the road again, three of Metallica’s four members walked the red carpet at the 2024 Library of Congress Gershwin Prize dinner.
Singer James Hetfield, 60, guitarist Kirk Hammett, 61, and bassist Robert Trujillo, 59, walked the red carpet at the event in Washington DC.
Hetfield was seen posing with his girlfriend Adriana Gillett, while Trujillo attended with his wife Chloe.
The release comes just six months after the band was forced to postpone their show in Glendale, Arizona, after Hetfield contracted COVID-19.
The drummer of the legendary metal band, Lars Ulrich, was not present at the gala evening.

Guitarist Hammett opted for a white shirt under a gray shirt under a black leather jacket for the outing.
He also wore leopard print pants for the evening while posing with an unidentified guest.
Bassist Trujillo came out wearing a more classic black suit with a white shirt, black tie, black coat and black pants.
He added a touch of sparkle with a pair of silver and black Golden Goose sneakers to stay comfortable on the red carpet.
The iconic heavy metal band is preparing to hit the road again to complete their M72 World Tour.

They begin the fourth leg of their tour at the end of May in Munich and will perform throughout Europe until mid-July.
They return to the United States for the fifth and final game at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts in early August.
The tour concludes at the end of September with four performances at Foro Sol in Mexico City, Mexico.
The tour supports their 11th studio album, 72 Seasons, which received rave reviews upon its April 2023 release.
