The Strictly Come Dancing stars came together on Tuesday to express their shock and distress at the tragic death of Robin ‘Bobby’ Windsor.
News of Windsor’s death was announced Tuesday morning. The cause of the 44-year-old dancer’s death has not been revealed.
Among those paying tribute were her 2012 Strictly co-star Lisa Riley and the show’s judge Craig Revel Horwood, who wrote: “Just heard the tragic news of the passing of my dear friend ‘Bobby’ Robin Windsor.”

‘My heart goes out to all his family and friends. RIP dear man, you were truly loved x’.

Strict judge Craig Revel Horwood shared a heartfelt tribute, writing: “He was one of the kindest, gentlest, honest, funniest and most caring people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing.”
Professional Latin and ballroom dancer Windsor was best known for his appearances on BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing for five years between 2010 and 2015.
He teamed up with model Patsy Kensit, EastEnders legend Anita Dobson, loose woman Lisa Riley and Dragon’s Den star Deborah Meaden during his time on the show. He also performed with This Morning presenter Alison Hammond in the 2015 Christmas special.
Riley, 47, shared a collage of photos with the late dancer as she paid tribute to her ‘best friend’, writing: ‘My best friend, my Robin, my angel… now our eternal angel, beloved, will always be loved . , forever in my heart……my very broken heart, I love you, your beautiful electric energy shines from heaven. SHINE IN PEACE.’
James Jordan, 45, paid tribute to his “old friend” by sharing: “I had the pleasure of working with this man for many years on Strictly.
‘Everyone who came into contact with him adored him, from his celebrity partners to his co-workers. We will miss you, old friend #RobinWindsor #legend.”
Karen Hauer, 41, shared a series of snaps of the dancer on Instagram, writing: “I’m heartbroken… Robin, you are a beautiful human being.” I can not believe it. RIP.’
Alongside a selfie with the late dancer, Amy Dowden, 33, shared: “Such a shock this morning waking up to the news.” [broken heart emoji]. RIP @robinwindsor. Such a kind and talented soul. [crying emoji].’

Reacting to the heartbreaking news, Jordan, 45, took to X, formerly Twitter, to pay tribute to his “old friend,” sharing that everyone who knew Windsor “adored” him.

Along with a selfie with the late dancer, Amy Dowden, 33, expressed her surprise at the news.
Fellow dancer Giselle Rojas Peacock wrote: “I was shocked to discover that today we lost another dancer and friend, Robin Jamie Windsor.
‘This hits home for us as we spent many years dancing, performing and touring together around the world on Burn the Floor.
‘Bobby, one of the original members and poster boy for Burn, was well loved by everyone, the sweetest human being. Like a huge teddy bear.
‘You light up the stage with so much energy and it was always a pleasure to dance with you.
‘We had so many laughs, tears, ups and downs together and although life took us in separate directions and the Lord took you soon, I think we will all treasure so many memories with you in them.
‘RIP my good friend. My heart breaks today for all those who loved you. And there were many.’
Strict choreographer Patrick Helm said Robin was unaware of how much he meant to people.
He wrote: ‘I don’t even know how to find the words for this post. I will miss you so much, Robin Windsor. This one is hitting me hard and too close to home.
‘My deepest condolences to his family and to everyone who knew him! You were another loved by so many but couldn’t see it for themselves.
‘May you finally be free and find peace. RIP Bobby.’

In a statement announcing his death, Sisco Entertainment told BBC News: “His extraordinary ability to express emotion through movement captivated audiences, leaving them spellbound at every turn.
Beyond her impeccable dancing, Robin’s vibrant spirit lit up the room, infusing rehearsals and performances with infectious energy and warmth.
His laugh was contagious and his kindness boundless. His friendship was a gift appreciated by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Robin, you will be sorely missed.’
The Suffolk-born star, who started dancing at the age of three, was an original member of dance show Burn The Floor, which paid tribute to the star on its official website following his shocking death.
Their statement read: “The Burn the Floor family has lost one of its founding members, Robin ‘Bobby’ Windsor, who tragically passed away.”
‘A BTF officer, he danced with us for twenty years, including Broadway, The West End and all our crazy adventures around the world.
‘Her stunning image attached with Jessica Raffa defined our company, colorful, extreme and sensual.
‘His talent, attitude, energy and personality helped create the reputation of the Burn the Floor stage. “He leaves a void in our hearts that will never be filled, but our wonderful memories will remain forever.”
Burn the Floor founder and Robin’s friend Harley Medcalf said: ‘We have lost a beautiful friend, Robin Windsor, Bobby, one of the founding members of the Burn the Floor family.
‘Robin has died in England. A generous dancer, of great talent, full of energy, life and love.
‘His stage presence defined the Burn the Floor company. Whenever we visited London, Robin was always the first to call, always there to support, celebrate, laugh and cry together.
“In the attached photo, a very excited Robin was right off stage after his final performance with the Burn The Floor Reunion Tour in Birmingham in 2022.”
“Our hearts are broken. He will be greatly missed by all his friends, family and fans around the world.”
From the age of three Bobby studied Latin and ballroom dancing and his talent and commitment to his vocation took him to the highest level of competition where he won numerous World Championships.
Bobby debuted on Strictly Come Dancing in 2010 alongside his professional partner Kristina Rihanoff, a long-term relationship that saw them dance around the world.
In 2018, Robin opened up about her struggle with depression while appearing on Strictly Come Dancing, saying: “We all have dark days, but I was having dark weeks.”
“I ended up not getting out of bed for four or five days at a time. As far as everyone was concerned, I was ‘happy Robin,’ except to the people I lived with.”
Robin also experienced mental health issues when she suffered two major setbacks – losing her job on Strictly and splitting from her fiancé.

He said: “I was still taking Strictly when it started, it was really bad.” A lot of things happened at the same time, pretty bad things, that set him off.
‘My injury, a financial situation, my commitment [to Davide] It was over and I lost my job on Strictly at the same time, so it took its toll on me.
Robin was previously engaged to her ex-partner Davide Cini and proposed on a romantic helicopter ride in New York in 2013 before splitting years later.
She dated former Strictly contestant Marcus Collins.
