Zachary Williams shared a heartfelt tribute to his father Robin Williams on Friday, August 11, marking the ninth year since his tragic death at the age of 63.
Taking to social media, the oldest of the comedian’s three adult children used a bit of humor by sharing a photo of his father greeting fans on the tennis court.
“Dad, on the ninth anniversary of your passing, I remember you for your great fashion choices,” the 40-year-old joked as the image showed the legendary comedian sporting a bizarre graphic tee and patterned shorts.
Zachary added: ‘These days are always hard and I love to remember you for being so, so YOU. I love you so much!’
In addition to being praised for his comedic prowess, Robin was often mocked for his eccentric style, which almost never landed him in the best dressed category.

Just last month, Zachary, a businessman, financial investor and actor, remembered his dad on July 21, on what would have been his 72nd birthday.
‘Happy 72nd Dad! I was remembering how much I loved that look you gave her,” he wrote in the caption.
‘That look with a mischievous and loving smile that your friends and loved ones knew so well. Cheerful and curious and wonderful. I miss you and love you forever!
He shared an example of that look by posting a photo of Robin filming a scene for his hit war comedy film, Good Morning Vietnam (1987).
Zak’s sister Zelda, 34, who refers to their father as ‘Poppo’, paid tribute to Robin on his birthday by posting a photo of him holding a sign at a protest during the SAG-WGA strike in New York. in 2007.
“Happy birthday to Poppo who definitely would have been fighting the good fight for art and artists today and always,” Zelda wrote.
For Father’s Day on June 18, Zachary credited his dad for teaching him a thing or two about ‘courage and compassion,’ along with a couple of other life lessons, in the caption of two photos he they show it in Good Will Hunting (1997) and The Birdcage (1996).
“To all the dads out there going above and beyond for their loved ones, thank you for all you do,” the proud son wrote, before personalizing his message. ‘Dad, today I remember you specifically for your bravery and compassion. Thank you for helping me learn to be kind to myself as a first step in showing myself to others. Happy Father’s Day, I LOVE YOU forever!’
The Oscar-winning actor shared Zak with his first wife, Valerie Velardie, whom he married in 1978 and eventually divorced 10 years later in 1988.
Zelda and her brother Cody, 31, are the children of his second marriage to Marsha Garces Williams (née Marsha Lynn Garces) whom he married in 1989 and divorced in 2010.

The Good Will Hunting actor passed away in 2014 by suicide at his home in Paradise Cay, California, after being misdiagnosed with Parkinson’s disease.
An autopsy shortly after his death revealed that he had been living with undiagnosed Lewy body disease, which is a form of progressive dementia.
Lewy body dementia is the second most common type of dementia after Alzheimer’s disease, according to the mayo clinic.
Protein deposits called Lewy bodies develop in nerve cells in the brain. Protein deposits affect brain regions involved in thought, memory, and movement.
