Liverpool could reportedly be “ready to listen to offers” for one of their prized attacking stars this summer.

It comes as the Merseyside side currently have a host of talented forwards who can lead their lines.

Jurgen Klopp’s side have been hit by injuries in recent weeks, with Darwin Nunez, Mohamed Salah and Diogo Jota sidelined by injury, the German manager has put his faith in several academy graduates.

But the future certainly looks bright for Liverpool, whose matchday squad for their Carabao Cup victory against Chelsea featured eight academy graduates.

And with many talented stars rising through the ranks, Liverpool could be willing to let Luis Diaz leave the club this summer, according to Sun.

The outlet claims that “several Spanish clubs are interested in the Colombian striker”, who arrived at Anfield in 2022 from Porto in a £50m transfer.

Díaz has appeared 35 times for Liverpool this season, returning 10 goals and five assists.

But a move away from Anfield could also depend on Mohamed Salah’s future, with much speculation surrounding whether the Egyptian striker will stay or leave the club.

Mail Sport’s Chris Sutton recently called on Salah, whose contract expires in 2025, to provide clarity to Liverpool fans and end speculation about his future by saying whether he will stay or go.

Liverpool could now enter a transition period, with Klopp set to leave at the end of the season and rumors also emerging that former sporting director Michael Edwards could return to the club in some capacity.

Joel Matip and Thiago Alcántara will be out of contract in the summer, with Virgil van Dijk, Salah and Trent Alexander-Arnold’s deals also expiring in 2025.

Andy Robertson has also become a transfer target for Bayern Munich in recent days, with his contract with the club expiring in 2026.

That will leave Klopp’s successor with a long list of things to do, but whoever takes the reins will have a crop of talented emerging stars to work with.

Liverpool’s academy graduates were the stars of the show in their Carabao Cup final victory against Chelsea on Sunday, with Conor Bradley, Jayden Danns, Bobby Clark and James McConnell all present during the match.

Klopp would once again rely on his academy stars on Thursday night, with Danns scoring a brace during Liverpool’s 3-0 FA Cup win against Southampton.
