Robert Downey Jr. was seen holding hands with his wife Susan Downey after enjoying a romantic dinner together on Thursday night.
The Marvel star, 59, and the film producer, 51, put on a cozy display as they left celebrity hotspot Giorgio Baldi together in Santa Monica, California.
During his outing, RDJ was seen sporting an Iron Man t-shirt, five years after hanging up his superhero suit, but he recently announced that he would be returning to the MCU in another form.
Over the seemingly significant shirt, he sported a gray velvet jacket and a matching tweed fedora with a cream-and-black striped band.
The Oppenheimer alum, who will become the highest-paid actor of all time and his last role earned him “significantly more” than $78 million, donned black jeans and chunky sneakers.
At his side, his wife Susan also showed off her effortlessly chic style, wearing a houndstooth-print plaid sweater dress, a chic trench coat, and sheer tights.

Both Robert and Susan seemed to be in great spirits and flashed their smiles after their date night.
Their exit comes as the couple approaches their 20th wedding anniversary.

Earlier this year, his wife Susan revealed the secret to their successful marriage and how they keep the romance alive despite their busy schedule.
He said their marriage is thriving because they have prioritized one important ‘rule.’

Because of Robert’s thriving acting career and subsequent busy schedule, she said they have to make an effort to remain present and flexible while prioritizing their marriage and family.
“You stick to the basic rule of two weeks and then you don’t try to think too far ahead because so much of what we do is weirdly unpredictable,” Susan explained.
‘You just need to know: someone could get sick, or there could be a closure, or this or that. So, you just have to have some basic things in place and then be willing to flow with the rest,” he added.
She said her schedule is a little more flexible as a producer and executive.

“The good news is that I’m not on camera, so as a producer, I end up with a little more flexibility in terms of location of where I would need to be,” she added.
“I admire and have a lot of empathy for couples who have to be on camera because they get stuck and have to make those decisions,” she continued.
And although the Oscar-winning actor doesn’t have a traditional job that allows him to come home every night, he admires and applauds his husband’s work ethic and talent.
“He approaches everything he’s done — every Marvel movie, every other movie — with the same level of commitment and belief that he’s an actor and that he’s doing everything he can to create a role,” he said.
“But sometimes I think it seems so easy that it’s like, ‘Oh yeah, that’s just Downey being Downey.’ When you’re like, ‘No, there’s a lot of artistry and skill in acting.’
