In another sign that New York City is returning to a post-pandemic normal, Robert De Niro headlined a kick-off luncheon for its annual Tribeca Film Festival on Wednesday.
The veteran, who wears a leg brace after a serious injury on the set of Martin Scorsese’s film Killers of the Flower Moon, was joined by New York Governor Andrew Cuomo and a host of Big Apple protagonists.
Lunch at Pier 76 marks the start of one of the world’s first major festivals to return to personal events since the COVID-19 outbreak.
