Robert De Niro has revealed that he “does his best” to be a good father to his seven children, but admits that “family is complex.”
The actor, 81, spoke out in a new interview over the weekend when he made a rare comment about his private life.
Robert shares his youngest daughter, Gia, 19 months, with his professional martial artist girlfriend, Tiffany Chen.
The Godfather star also has six other children; Drena, 56, and Raphael, 47, with his ex-wife Diahnne Abbott, Elliot, 25, and Helen, 12, with his ex-wife Grace Hightower, and twins Aaron and Julian, 28, with their ex-girlfriend Toukie Smith.

And he sweetly added about spending time with his daughter Gia: “I’m an early riser.” I have a 19 month old baby. I spend my mornings watching (young children’s YouTuber) Ms Rachel with her and giving her a bottle.’
In February, Robert gushed about the new addition to his family, Gia, and the “joy” she brings him.
‘She is such an adorable baby. “How sweet,” he said of his bundle of joy. ‘(When) I look at her, everything else disappears. So it’s such a joy and a relief to be with her right now.’
Her older children “have a lot of fun with her,” she explained.

Raphael is a father of three and Drena’s son, Leandro De Niro Rodríguez, died at age 19 last year.
Robert also gushed about how important family gatherings are to him: “The fact that they’re all together,” he said, “means everything to me.”

When asked about his feelings about becoming a father again, at age 79, the New York native said Page six that Chen’s pregnancy was “planned.”

Tiffany had a small role as a Tai Chi instructor who helps Robert’s character.
Robert was spotted with Tiffany in August 2021 while they enjoyed a vacation together in the south of France.

The couple’s romance was evident when they were seen holding hands while strolling in the sunshine and were later seen kissing on a yacht.
They were also photographed together in New York in June and attended the Philbrook Museum of Art in Tulsa on July 31, in images that appeared on social media but were later removed.
At the time, the Raging Bull actor was embroiled in a bitter divorce battle with his now ex-wife Grace Hightower.
In April 2022, a judge ruled that his ex-wife should receive $1 million annually and that the couple will split the profits after selling their $20 million home.
