Robert De Niro confirmed that he welcomed a daughter with his partner Tiffany Chen, and also revealed her name – Gia Virginia Chen-De Niro.
She was born on Thursday, April 6, and weighed 8 pounds, 6 ounces, he said CBS morningshosts Gayle King via phone call.
The outlet also shared a photo of its adorable baby girl.
“This baby is planned,” Robert said, adding that they both wanted the baby and were “over the moon.”
“She was brought here by love,” Gayle told her during their phone conversation.
The iconic actor shocked the world when he revealed he ‘just had a baby’ in an interview earlier this week – after Tiffany, who is believed to be 45, was spotted with a baby bump in March.

His newborn seventh child was first seen when doting mom Tiffany took her baby for a walk in NYC on Wednesday.
The baby was dressed in a pink onesie and wrapped in a white blanket as Tiffany lifted the baby from a stroller.
And while the news that the actor was expanding his brood may have come as a surprise to fans, De Niro recounted Page six to the fact that he wasn’t surprised to become a father again and that the pregnancy with girlfriend Tiffany Chen was “planned.”
“How could you not plan something like that?” he asked. De Niro also shared his feelings about becoming a father again.
“I’m fine with it,” said the actor Additional when asked if he was excited. ‘I’m okay with it.’ When asked if getting older ever gets easier, the taxi driver joked, “Never gets easier.”
De Niro’s About My Father co-stars Sebastian Maniscalco and Kim Catrall were thrilled for the actor, and Sebastian told Extra on the red carpet that he had no idea the actor was expecting another child.
“I was told today he had a baby. I didn’t know he was going to have a baby, but oh yes, God bless him.’

“He is a very gentle person who enjoys spending time with his family and I am happy for him,” he added.
Meanwhile, Kim sang Tiffany praises, “God bless him, his other half.” Tiffany is such a beautiful woman. She came to the set with her family once and watched the filming, and she was gorgeous and sweet. I’m happy for both of them.’
It comes after the actor announced the surprising new addition to his family, telling ET Canada, “I just had a baby.”
De Niro revealed his happy news in a new interview after being asked by a reporter what it was like to be a father of six. Then he said he had not six, but seven children, and then shared that he had recently welcomed a new child into his life.

They were photographed holding hands in July 2021 and in March of this year she appeared pregnant when she left Giorgio Baldi in Santa Monica, California.
His representative confirmed to DailyMail.com that De Niro was not at fault and that he does indeed have seven children.
The Godfather actor has six other children; Drena, 51, and Raphael, 46, with ex-wife Diahnne Abbott, Elliot, 25, and Helen, 11, with ex-wife Grace Hightower, and twins Aaron and Julian, 27, with ex-girlfriend, Toukie Smith.
