Former Liverpool and Leeds striker Robbie Fowler is reported to be considering applying for the vacant manager’s position at Tranmere Rovers.
The League Two club are looking for a new manager after parting ways with Micky Mellon last month following a long run of poor results.
The club currently sits in 11th place, having failed to fulfill its play-off aspirations and will head into next season under new management in a bid to gain promotion from the fourth tier of English football.
Fowler, who has spent stints in India and Australia, is keen on managing in England and could put himself in the running for the Tranmere job according to the sun.
He retired in 2011 to take charge of Thai club Muangthong as player-manager until the end of the season.

Fowler then tried his luck in Australia with Brisbane Roar in 2019 but returned to England a year later to stay close to his family after the coronavirus outbreak.
His next stint came in India, when he coached the Indian Premier League team East Bengal, who h. He finished ninth in the 11-team league before leaving after a year.
Fowler is still looking for his first coaching job in England having previously been linked with the senior job at former clubs Leeds and Swindon.
He applied for a vacant coaching position at Bradford City last season but the League Two side turned to Mark Hughes instead.
