A duo of thieves is stealing jewelry from their victims in armed robberies in the Bronx and Manhattan, police said Tuesday.
The men attacked three separate times earlier this month, making off with more than $23,000 in jewelry and cash.
In the first incident, a man approached two women, ages 27 and 32, outside a nail salon on Grand Concourse near E. 183rd St. in Fordham Heights around 5:20 a.m. on March 3, the police said.
The robber pulled out a gun and took $8,000 worth of necklaces straight from their necks, scratching and bruising the older woman.
He left in a dark gray BMW X5, police said.
The next morning, a man pulled up at the Dyckman St. station in Inwood in the same BMW and entered the station around 7:25 a.m., police said.
Inside the No. 1 train station, he took aim at a 40-year-old man and drew a gun before hitting the victim over the head with it.
Once again, the robber took the man’s jewelry, as well as his wallet containing credit cards and $1,200 in cash.
He ran outside, got back in his car and drove away, police said.
