Netflix’s Tex Mex Motors star Rob ‘The Rabbit’ Pitts has died aged 45 after a battle with stomach cancer.
Pitts was beloved by fans of the show, in which car enthusiasts transport cars from Mexico to El Paso, Texas, and restore them.
He passed away on Sunday, just days after posting a heartbreaking video announcing his cancer diagnosis and saying goodbye to his fans, with his cameraman Jeff announcing his death.
Jeff wrote in the video titled This Is Goodbye (RIP 7/27/79 – 8/25/24): ‘Hi everyone, this is Jeff (Rob’s videographer). I’m with him right now in hospice.
“He passed away at 9:45 PM on 8/25/2024. I will make sure to preserve the channel. He will be missed and never forgotten.”

In his final video, Rob revealed his cancer diagnosis for the first time, saying he had been “feeling unwell” since last year and sought medical help when he began to rapidly lose weight.
She said: “I went to urgent care several times and they treated my symptoms, but they didn’t get to the root of the problem.”
While filming the second season of Tex Mex Motors, he began experiencing “acid reflux-like symptoms.”
He was diagnosed with stomach cancer in March after a visit to the emergency room, after initially believing he had gallbladder problems.
Rob said: “It’s been tough. More bad days than good, but I’ve stuck it out. I’ve got a lot to live for and life has been going well for me. Don’t be sad for me.”
She added that she had ‘fulfilled my dream of buying my own store, finishing season 2 of Netflix and marrying the love of my life.’
“Luckily, she doesn’t mind doing long-term things with a guy who only shares her life in the short term.”
He revealed he had been receiving treatment at home, before sharing a photo of himself in hospital.

The star was inundated with tributes from fans.
He said: ‘It’s been tough. More bad days than good, but holding on.
“I have a lot to live for and life has gone well for me. Don’t be sad for me.”
He also urged fans to get tested if they suspected they had health problems.
