Rob Schneider has been pictured after his daughter Elle King spoke out about her “toxic” home life, revealing he once sent her to “fat camp”.
Seemingly unaware of the furor surrounding King’s comments, former SNL star Schneider was spotted shopping in Los Angeles and enjoying an expensive Erewhon milkshake.
King, 35, slammed Schneider, 60, for “not being nice” when criticizing his controversial comments about the LGBTQ+ community during her recent appearance on Bunnie XO. Dumb Blonde Podcast.
Schneider has yet to respond to several claims made by his daughter, whom he shares with former model London King.
His mother divorced Schneider in 1989, just a year after his birth.
“I don’t agree with a lot of the things that he says,” the singer said of Schneider in a clip from the episode. “You’re talking nonsense and you’re talking shit about drag and, you know, gay rights. And it’s like, fuck you.”

King shared that she hasn’t spoken to the comedian in “four or five years” and admitted that she “doesn’t want to be associated” with him in any way.
“He’s not a nice person,” she added. “You can really want someone to change, but you can’t control other people’s actions or other people’s feelings. The only thing you can control is how you react and what you do with your feelings.”
Raised in Ohio by her mother and stepfather Justin Tesa, Elle went on to say that she reconnected with Rob as an adult after a strained childhood relationship.
During her younger years, the rare moments Elle spent with Rob were often on movie sets, where she frequently felt ignored amidst the chaos.
“I would get lost in the mess,” he explained. “If I ever messed up a take or spoke up, I would get into a lot of trouble.”
King recalled: “My father forgot all the birthdays. I spent my 18th birthday at a summer school and they brought me cupcakes. When I got home, my father forgot my birthday.”

A major point of contention between King and Schneider centered on her appearance, particularly her weight and her tattoos.
“I was a very, very heavy child. My father sent me to a fat camp. And one year I got in trouble because I twisted my ankle and I didn’t lose weight,” she explained.
“It’s very toxic and very stupid,” he added.
“I had already started getting tattoos and it was about 42 degrees outside so I had to wear sweaters because my father was against tattoos and any form of personal expression.”
In the edited clip, King revealed that he exhaustively tried several approaches to repair his relationship with his father.

“I would try lyrics, soft voice, screaming. And he would say, ‘Well, look, you’re screaming.'”
In 2018, King revealed to PEOPLE that she had built a closer bond with Schneider following the end of a tumultuous marriage and her battles with substance abuse and mental health issues.
The current status of King and her father’s relationship remains unclear, though the last time they shared a public moment together was on stage at Elle’s New Year’s Eve concert in Nashville.
