- Cross was seen making what appeared to be a rude gesture towards the crowd.
- The fifth seed won the first set of the match but then lost the next three.
2018 champion Rob Cross was eliminated from the World Darts Championship in the second round and appeared to make an obscene gesture to the crowd during the loss.
The fifth seed was beaten 3-1 by last year’s semi-finalist Scott Williams, who will now face Germany’s Ricardo Pietreczko in the third round.
Cross joined a growing list of highly ranked players to exit this year’s tournament early.
Their loss means a record 14 seeds have fallen in the second round.
And he clearly wasn’t happy at all as he walked off stage to take a quick break after one of the sets.
The 34-year-old apparently imitated a sexual act before a wry smile appeared on his face.

Gurney, the 26th seed, leveled the match with a checkout of 156 and recovered from being 2-1 adrift after Hempel claimed a third-set shutout.
Hempel’s partner, German Ricardo Pietreczko, put on a clinical display (he hit 56 percent of his doubles) to beat 28th seed Gian van Veen 3-1.
