Her breakout role was playing Mia, the sister of Jamie Dornan’s Christian Grey, in the infamous Fifty Shades of Gray franchise.

And then he landed roles in big-budget movies like Detective Pikachu, Twist, Wonderwell and Kung Fu Panda: The Dragon Knight.

But it looks like his next role will be his biggest yet, as the sun reports that Rita will star in a Marvel movie.

A source told the publication that the presenter let her casting slip while at the Fashion Awards on Monday night.

They said: ‘Rita was dressed as a baddie from a Marvel movie, and when someone commented about it, she let it slip that she has a role in a new Marvel movie.

“She confirmed that she had landed the role of someone evil and that she was very excited to get stuck into it.”

To lend credence to the speculation, Rita is married to filmmaker Taika Waititi, who directed two major Marvel films, Thor: Ragnarok and Thor: Love And Thunder, while also playing Korg in the record-breaking Avengers: Endgame.

While she’s also shown her talent for playing the bad boy before, with her most recent role being the villainous Queen of Hearts in Descendants: The Rise of Red earlier this year.

Rita is currently involved in four upcoming films in the works, including the return to the Descendants franchise and the thriller He Bled Neon.

Deadline reported last month that he will also star in Amazon MGM Studios’ Voltron movie alongside big stars like Henry Cavill and Sterling K. Brown.

While Rita has also been cast in the upcoming action film Tin Soldier, starring Hollywood heavyweights Jamie Foxx and Robert De Niro.

She confessed that acting, in addition to singing, has been one of her passions since she was little and that she would ‘love to make a horror movie’.

Rita said: ‘I actually had my first acting role at the age of eleven in the movie Spivs. I love acting. Acting is also very much like a performance!’

However, the beauty came in handy when it came to taking the next step in the acting business, adding: “I would definitely have to wait and see what roles I’m offered.” Everything is based on that. But yeah, it’s definitely something I’d love to do more of in the future.”

While the star has also recently focused on her business projects, she launched her own hair care line in April.

Following in the footsteps of fellow singers Rihanna and Beyoncé, she launched her own brand called TYPEBEA in Sydney alongside Australian hair expert Anna Lahey.

While Rita started working with Primark just over two years ago and has so far launched several collections with the brand.

Her latest collection with the high street brand, which embodies a party look, was launched last month.
