“The ceremony will take place on November 10, so there isn’t much free time, but Rita is willing to attend.”

And it won’t be the first time Rita has taken on hosting duties after performing at the prestigious night of music when it was last held in the UK for the 2017 ceremony at Wembley Arena.

This year the MTV EMAs will return after they were canceled last year in Paris due to security fears and “the state of the world” amid the war between Israel and Hamas.

MailOnline has contacted Rita’s representatives for comment.

The news comes after it was revealed that Rita had been replaced by Maya Jama on hit ITV show The Masked Singer.

Last month, fans of the show shared a big beef with the new judging panel after it was revealed that the Love Island presenter, 30, will replace the hitmaker on the new series of the ITV show, alongside Jonathan Ross, Davina McCall and Mo Gilligan.

However, some viewers have shared a concern with Maya’s hiring, pointing out that she does not have the same singing experience that Rita brought to the panel.

One user posted on Reddit: ‘I still don’t think it was the right choice but what are you going to do.’ It should have been a singer or someone with musical experience.

Posts on Instagram included: ‘Well this is a disaster, they should have at least one singer here;

‘So, on a singing show, there isn’t a single judge who is a singer?’

“While I don’t mind adding Maya for Rita makes all the panelists bring main presenter vibes, at least Rita made it varied.”

However, one user responded by insisting that no singing experience is necessary to appear on The Masked Singer.

They said, ‘Everyone emphasizing… this is not a singing contest!!! It’s about guessing who is the person who sings – RELAX…’
