Melbourne Storm rising star Shawn Blore has pleaded not guilty to affray after an alleged incident in central Sydney.
After the NRL player was charged last month, a lawyer acting on behalf of Mr Blore, 24, appeared at Downing Centre Local Court on Wednesday.
His lawyer, Eugene Renard, entered a not guilty plea on his behalf and Mr Blore was excused from attending.
He was charged with one count of affray following an alleged incident in central Sydney between 2am and 3am on July 8.
Mr Blore was arrested before being released on bail on condition that he did not commit any further offences and did not consume alcohol in a public place.

Blore appeared at Downing Centre Local Court on Wednesday.
He was signed alongside his 25-year-old brother Dean Blore, who was once a promising young playmaker at Penrith.
Dean Blore, dressed in a white shirt and gray pants, was sitting in the second row of the courtroom when his matter was mentioned Wednesday.
He also pleaded not guilty.
The case will return to court on October 16.
Blore played for the Wests Tigers before moving to the Melbourne Storm.
Shawn Blore began his career at Wests Tigers before moving to the Melbourne Storm this year. He has hit his stride under coach Craig Bellamy and has been a key part of Melbourne’s rise to the top flight.
Mr Blore was among several Storm players rested this weekend and was not scheduled to line up against North Queensland in Townsville on Thursday night.
