Two people have died in a house fire tragedy in Melbourne’s east overnight.
Emergency services were called to a home on Glenvale Road in Ringwood North at around 4am on Saturday to reports the property was engulfed in flames.
When firefighters and police arrived at the scene they discovered that the fire was out of control.
The two people found dead inside the home have not yet been formally identified.
At least 12 fire trucks were called to the scene of the blaze, the cause of which is still unknown.

Detectives from the Arson and Explosives Squad and an arson chemist are also expected to arrive at the home.
Roads in the area have been cordoned off.
