Date:

Footage from Terrifying Ring shows a gunman opening fire on a Los Angeles man in his driveway in front of his children.

The ambush attack happened in the Northridge area on Friday night when a man called police and said someone had parked outside his home and started shooting at him.

The incident was recorded on the man’s doorbell camera and shows him driving away in his vehicle after the shots rang out.

Footage captured the suspect pursuing the man on foot and in his vehicle just seconds before the owner’s son came out to see what was happening.

Police are looking for the suspect responsible for the shooting and are asking the public for information.

The apparent ambush happened around 6pm on Friday when the man told officers he had arrived home in a suspicious-looking vehicle sitting outside his home.

“I noticed a suspicious vehicle parked in front of our neighbour’s house, parked quite far from the curb, so it was very unusual to see a vehicle parked that way,” the victim said.

The video caught the owner – who asked local media not to be identified for his own safety – entering his circular driveway in his black car.

Video shows the owner pulling up in his car nearby before he heard the gunshots and pulled out of his own driveway in the 9600 block of Texhoma Avenue.

“A man jumped out of the backseat wearing a hoodie and a bandana,” the victim said KTLA.

“I just saw him raise and point a black handgun with a long silencer in the front. So I closed my door right away, hit the accelerator and jumped off the curb,’ he continued.

The man told the outlet he jumped the curb while running from the shooter.

The unidentified shooter briefly chases after the owner’s car before jumping into his own car and following him.

Fortunately, the owner said neither he nor his children were injured in the shooting.

“One of the bullets hit the back of my car, the second hit the tree in front of my house, the third hit the neighbor’s upstairs bedroom window,” he said.

He said he didn’t know why, but he thinks he was targeted.

“The way they got out of the house, the way they pulled over, the way they got out of the car,” he said of the incident.

“They tried to shoot me as I walked away, then they tried to follow me. Thank goodness I was able to drive fast and get away and contact the police,’ he continued.

The man and police are now asking the public for anyone with information, as the owner says he and his family are still in shock.

“Obviously, naturally, my children are terrified to have witnessed this. My wife, she’s very upset. It’s a very dangerous situation,” the man said.

“It’s a very nerve-wracking situation,” he continued.

The shooter is described as a 5-foot-10 black male.

He weighs around 180 pounds and was last seen wearing a black mask and black clothing.

Police said the weapon used was a semi-automatic handgun and the vehicle was a tan sedan.

The owner is offering a $100,000 reward for information leading to the suspects’ arrest and conviction.
