‘It was about time someone did something about it.’

It alleges that Thomas’ winning participation in the event and victory represented a violation of Title IX, which gives women the right to equal opportunity in sports.

The lawsuit asks the NCAA to change its rules to make biological males unable to compete against female athletes, and that it revoke all awards given to trans athletes in women’s competitions and give them to their female candidates.

In addition, the suit seeks ”compensation for pain and suffering, mental and emotional distress, suffering and anguish, costs and other damages due to the defendant’s wrongful conduct.”
