The jeweler behind the custom watches worn by Rihanna and countless other celebrities was spotted on TikTok flashing a $1.5million wristwatch – but netizens weren’t wowed by the pricey accessory .
Jacob Arabo, 58, is the man behind legendary New York jewelry and wristwatch retailer Jacob & Co. Kanye and Rihanna.
The New Yorker was captured over the summer by influencer Ayman Al Yaman outside Bugatti residences in Dubai wearing a Bugatti Chiron Tourbillon watch.
Amid his quick chat with Ayman, Arabo also mentioned that the Green Sapphire Crystal version of the model on his wrist was a “one of one” edition – meaning the only one there is.

Someone else remarked, “It looks like an old school iMac” – a sentiment echoed by another commenter who quipped, “looks like a clear plastic toy from the early 2000s”
But, after the video was shared by the TikTok account @wristwatches, the post’s commenters were less than dazzled by the glitzy watch.
“I saw this watch in a claw machine the other day,” one joked.
“I got the same from a McDonald’s Happy Meal in 2003,” said a second opponent.
“I could buy this at my Walmart for maybe $20 tops,” echoed another.
Someone else remarked, “It looks like an old school iMac” – a sentiment echoed by another reviewer who quipped, “looks like a clear plastic toy from the early 2000s”.
“Costs 150 tickets,” joked one commenter of the wristwatch’s apparent similarity to cheap plastic trinkets offered as prizes in exchange for tickets won in arcade games.

According to the Jacob & Co. website – where the “Green Sapphire Crystal” model of the watch is not listed – the Bugatti Chiron Tourbillon was produced in collaboration with the luxury sports car brand to “reproduce the visceral feel of the iconic Bugatti 16-cylinder engine in a timepiece”.
