San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Ricky Pearsall will finally make his NFL debut this weekend, just over a month since he was shot in a botched robbery attempt.
Pearsall suffered minor injuries after a 17-year-old boy shot him for his Rolex watch in San Francisco in late August.
The defendant was arrested nearby and charged with attempted murder, assault with a semi-automatic weapon and attempted second-degree robbery, as well as several firearms charges.
Nearly seven weeks after the incident, Pearsall is now set to line up in the NFL for the first time when the Niners face the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday.
San Francisco head coach Kyle Shanahan has revealed that they will activate Pearsall as they look to avenge their devastating Super Bowl loss to Patrick Mahomes and company in February.

‘The boys are excited. “He’s been with the guys for a while, so it’s not like he hasn’t been around, but he practiced all week,” Shanahan said of his new receiver.
‘It’s been fantastic to see him out there. I think the guys were really happy for him because he was able to come back and be a part of this.
“He’s had an incredible week and we’re excited to have him there with us.”
