They share a daughter Lucia, four, and a son Renn, three, while Ricky is also the father of twin sons, Matteo and Valentino, 14, whom he will continue to raise as a single parent.
In a heartfelt announcement, the couple revealed that they were ending things on amicable terms, as they insisted that they still have “love and respect for each other.”

The statement, shared with PEOPLEHe continued: “Our greatest desire now is to continue having a healthy family dynamic and a relationship centered on peace and friendship to continue raising our children together, preserving the respect and love we have for each other.”
Ricky and Jwan met virtually via Instagram in 2015, and it was only after several months of digital communication that she traveled to London to finally meet Yosef in person.
The following year, the Livin’ La Vida Loca singer revealed on The Ellen DeGeneres Show that the two were engaged, and in January 2018 revealed that they had been secretly married.
‘I saw his art and I went crazy because I really love what he does. really original. And I contacted him and then I picked him up,” Ricky, whose birth name is Enrique Morales, told Ellen shortly after her engagement.
Although Ricky already had his older twin sons, the two were excited to have more children together.
In December 2018, the singer revealed that they had welcomed a daughter, and the following year they welcomed a son together.
Ricky welcomed his children in 2008 through a surrogate pregnancy and at the time he defended that the process was faster and easier for a single father.
It wasn’t until two years later that he finally came out as gay after dating men and women on and off in the previous years.
After a long relationship with economist Carlos González Abella from 2010 to 2014, Martin fell in love with her future husband, Syrian-born Swedish painter Jwan.

Ricky previously said that he wanted to ‘normalize’ two-parent families.
Speaking on The Ellen DeGeneres Show about being on the cover of People’s Pride Issue, she said, “I just want to normalize families like mine.”
“I know it’s very interesting to a lot of people who say to me ‘Thank you Ricky for posting that picture with you, your husband and your children.’ That made me feel better about myself.
Ricky’s divorce comes after a turbulent few months for the singer.
Last year, her nephew Dennis Yadiel Sánchez filed a temporary restraining order against her on July 1, alleging that she had a sexual relationship with the singer, who became abusive and harassing after the relationship ended.
Ricky strongly denied the accusations and described his nephew as a young man with mental health problems.
A Puerto Rican judge officially dismissed the temporary restraining order, at Sánchez’s request that same month.
After the firing, Ricky spoke to the press and told his nephew: “To the person who said this nonsense, I wish him the best, and I hope he finds help so he can start a new life full of love and truth.” and joy, and it doesn’t hurt anyone else.
In November, Ricky filed a $20 million lawsuit against his nephew, alleging has been “persecuted, besieged, harassed, stalked and extorted” by the 21-year-old, whom he calls a “misfit” according to TMZ.
