Leonard Simmons remembered his brother, the late fitness guru, at a memorial service held at St. Louis Cathedral in his hometown of New Orleans.

In a video obtained by TMZtalked about Richard’s signature look with his iconic tank top and sports shorts.

He also revealed “a little secret” that he said “not a lot of people know” about his late brother.

He said his brother was a lot like Clark Kent and Superman in the idea that he always wore his superhero outfit under his civilian clothes.

“Like Clark Kent, underneath the beautiful things he wore, his clothes, (Richard) is wearing a tank top and shorts,” he said while apparently alluding to the clothes in which he was buried.

—Why, you ask? Lenny continued. “Because we think God has another plan for him.”

He continued, “And we want to make sure he wears his regular suit that we all know and love to help the saints and angels get in shape.”

He also said that his brother is now taking care of his loved ones and all his fans.

The iconic fitness guru “will always be sweating with the Saints,” Leonard added.

“So I’m here to tell you that even though he’s not here and I know he’s here in spirit tonight, Richard Simmons will always be sweating with the Saints,” Leonard said as he concluded his eulogy at the memorial mass. “Thank you very much for coming.”

Leonard said only about eight people were present at the private funeral, but the public celebration of life in New Orleans had a large turnout as many fans showed up to the memorial service dressed as him.

The television personality, who rose to prominence through his line of Sweatin’ to the Oldies aerobics videos, died at the age of 76 on July 13, 2024 in Los Angeles.

His death was “accidental,” a family spokesperson revealed in August.

His longtime housekeeper found him at his Hollywood Hills home, one day after celebrating his 76th birthday.

The Los Angeles coroner’s office concluded that his death was due “to complications from recent falls and heart disease as a contributing factor.”

According to the toxicology report, he was not taking any medications other than what he had been prescribed.

The Los Angeles Police Department concluded that no criminal act occurred.

Previous reports said Simmons had fallen at home on July 12 after feeling dizzy, and that the fitness icon had told his housekeeper that he would possibly seek medical attention the next day if he was still feeling sick.
