Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigan are set to make a big comeback together, years after their last joint venture.

The beloved couple, married since 1986, became a household name as co-hosts of their iconic show Richard and Judy.

While Judy, 76, has largely stepped back from the spotlight, Richard, 67, remains a regular face on This Morning.

Now, after years apart professionally, the duo hint at an exciting new project together.

The power duo could soon launch their own underwear line, having trademarked their name for a variety of products, including fragrances, cosmetics and more.

This week, the Intellectual Property Office published the application.

The couple originally registered the ‘Richard and Judy’ trademark in 2000 and renewed it late last year, paving the way for their latest business project.

This bold move could have been inspired by Judy’s infamous wardrobe mishap at the 2000 National Television Awards, where she accidentally flashed her bra.

“Judy’s bra flash was perhaps one of the highlights of her career and may have inspired the couple to consider underwear as an option, and they clearly still do,” a source said, the paper reported. Mirror.

“But it’s not the only product they can put their name on and make money.”

MailOnline has contacted Richard and Judy’s representatives for comment.

The couple met in the 1980s while working at ITV Granada Television, before marrying in 1986.

Richard and Judy recently reflected on their relationship in their Channel 5 documentary, Our Best Bits – In Our Own Words, which aired in the summer.

They talked about the first time they saw each other in Granada and the initial chemistry between them.

At the time, Judy was married to journalist David Henshaw and Richard was about to separate from his first wife, Lynda.

Judy said: ‘I remember you walked into the newsroom on the first day, you were wearing a ridiculous sky blue suit… you looked like an idiot.

“I was assigned as your caretaker, they had a system in Grenada where the rookie was assigned a father or mother to literally show them the ropes, and I was your mother.”

Recalling the past, Richard said: “Suddenly I felt two hands on the back of my neck and I heard a voice saying ‘I’m your mum’, and I turned around and it was this beautiful blonde.

“It seemed kind of weird to say, so I was like, ‘What??’ So yeah, she was my assigned mom.”

Speaking about their first kiss, the couple revealed it was after a day at work in Blackpool in the back of a black taxi.

“We were filming in Blackpool, we spent a very long day filming promos and we really got on well. We ended up getting a black cab, because the crew had left, we went back to Manchester, which was a good hours’ drive.

“It was in the darkness of the taxi that we really fell in love with each other and kissed.”

The couple married and later welcomed children Jack and Chloe, while also forging a successful presenting career together, fronting shows such as This Morning and their own teatime magazine show.

And in a new interview, daughter Chloe, 37, opened up about how her parents have navigated their four-decade relationship while she spilled the secret to their long-lasting union.

When asked how her parents had sustained such a long marriage, she told Closer magazine: “They would honestly say the same thing: that the secret to having such a long marriage is not getting divorced.”

“They’ve been together for over 40 years and during that time there were periods where they really fought, but they continued and stayed together. “I don’t think it was ever that bad that they broke up.
