The Duchess of Sussex began the search for a suitable chief executive in March

After announcing her new cooking and lifestyle business, American Riviera Orchard, to much fanfare in March, the Duchess of Sussex began searching for a suitable CEO.

“Meghan is interviewing candidates for the CEO position right now,” a source told me at the time.

Despite having interviewed several candidates for the position, Prince Harry’s wife could not find anyone who met her expectations.

Now, insiders say she has found the perfect candidate: herself.

“She is the CEO of American Riviera Orchard,” an “informed source” told the New York Post.

In April, a California-based source told me, “The initial search for a CEO has so far been unsuccessful.”

I reported that the duchess’s difficulties had led to an intriguing new development: she had entered into negotiations with Netflix for the American streaming giant to establish a commercial partnership with the American Riviera Orchard.

“This is something new for Netflix,” the source told me. ‘I would run the lifestyle business with Meghan, developing products spin-offs from their show. “If a partnership is agreed, Netflix will likely install its own CEO to manage operations.”

The trademark application also appears to extend to a physical store where items could be sold.

The duchess, 43, unveiled the venture nine months ago by posting a stunning video on Instagram in which she could be seen busy in a rustic-looking kitchen, arranging white and pink flowers and whisking something in a bowl.

She posted the video the day after I contacted her office to comment on her plans, which may have overshadowed an appearance by Harry, via video link, at an event that night for the Diana Prize, a nearby organization to your heart.

The news that Meghan has been named CEO of the company follows a series of departures from the workforce by Harry and Meghan.

The total number of employees the Sussexes have lost since they married in 2018 is said to be at least 18, and nine or more have left since they moved to California.

A spokesperson for the Sussexes declined to comment last night.
