No expense was spared Sunday when Richard E. Grant’s daughter Olivia married her long-time partner Florian Wirst in a “magical” home ceremony.
Olivia, a casting associate whose film credits include last year’s record-breaking Barbie, had previously exchanged vows with Herbst in July, a service attended only by her father and the groom’s parents.
Sunday’s ceremony, held in the grounds of Grant’s sprawling London home, gave the bride and groom’s wider circle of friends and family the opportunity to celebrate their marriage.
The bride wore an elegant white wedding dress by British designer Suzanne Neville, while Austrian financier Herbst opted for an elegant black tuxedo and bow tie.
The celebration comes three years after Joan Washington, Grant’s wife of 35 years and Olivia’s mother, died following a battle with stage four lung cancer.

And the actor made sure it was an unforgettable night by hiring luxury event planner Johnny Roxburgh Designs to organize a huge outdoor marquee with fairy lights and impeccably laid tables, adorned with bouquets of flowers.
Elsewhere, international florist, designer and stylist Nikki Tibbles turned the grounds of Grant’s spacious home into a Gardens of Babylon-themed playground.
Guests enjoyed a luxurious dinner by Michelin-starred chef Skye Gyngell, owner of the modern European restaurant Spring, located in the iconic Somerset House in central London.

Joan, a dialect coach, tragically passed away at the age of 75, eight months after she was diagnosed with the disease.
Grant confirmed his daughter’s engagement in October and the actor shared four images of Olivia, Herbst and her huge diamond ring.
He wrote: ‘Our darling daughter @oliviagranted got engaged to Florian Herbst this weekend. Pockets full of Happiness!!’
Herbst, a Cambridge-trained Austrian financier, currently works as director of corporate finance at Village Hotels.
He graduated from Cambridge in 2014 with a degree in Earth Economics, combining “law and economics with environment, business, finance and resource management”.
Before moving to England, Herbst earned a three-year degree in International Business at WU (Vienna University of Business and Economics).

Guests enjoyed a lavish dinner hosted by chef Skye Gyngell, owner of Michelin-starred London restaurant Spring, under a specially constructed marquee with fairy lights and impeccably laid tables.
Grant previously revealed the ‘amazing mantra’ he has followed since his late wife’s death.
The actor told how his wife gave him words to live by in the days before her death, which has helped him cope with the “abyss of grief” ever since.
Speaking on The Zoe Ball Breakfast Show with Helena Bonham Carter, he said: “She told me four days before she died, she told my daughter and me: ‘I know you’re going to be sad, but try to find a pocket full of happiness in daily”.
“It’s been an incredible mantra to navigate the abyss of grief these past 15 months and I’m grateful for it.”
Grant also said he misses Joan the most during the winter period over Christmas and their wedding anniversary in November.
The bride and groom were presented with a four-tier wedding cake during Sunday’s event.
Wirst was led across the neon-lit dance floor as the celebration continued into the early hours of Monday morning.

Speaking in 2023, he told the Radio Times: ‘Our wedding anniversary is November 1; Joan’s birthday is December 21; there’s Christmas Day and then Olly’s (his nickname for his daughter Olivia) birthday is January 4th.
‘Last year, Olly and his partner Florian very generously invited me to Venice and then to visit his family in southern Austria, which was absolutely magical.
“This year I’m going with the two of them to the Caribbean, so I won’t be in London at Christmas.”
