Rich Paul believes white American athletes don’t trust black sports agents, as he said on a radio program on Tuesday.
Known as LeBron James’ longtime agent, Paul has created a basketball empire with his Klutch Sports Group, which represents many other players in the NBA.
Yet there is a certain demographic he can’t seem to crack.
“I was talking to a friend of mine who works in sports, and he said that no matter how successful Rich Paul is, white athletes and white families don’t trust a black sports agent,” Clay Cane told Paul on “The Clay stick Show’
“So I wanted to know: Is that your – is that an accurate statement?

“That’s right, yes,” Paul replied.
‘They are not international players, because international players actually have a different view on it…. But if you grew up in Indiana or Georgia, or Oklahoma, or even Ohio, for that matter. Yes No.’
‘You would think there would be a line down the street, but there isn’t. Yes.’
Paul said he has one white client: Jusuf Nurkic of the Suns, who is from Bosnia.

The 41-year-old’s agency has become a major player in the NBA, with the likes of Trae Young, De’Aaron Fox and Anthony Davis among its clients.
