Riccardo Calafiori has posted a photo of himself aboard a private jet, as he heads to London for his medical at Arsenal.

Gunners boss Mikel Arteta will be looking to get Calafiori back into the squad as soon as possible as they travel around the United States on their pre-season tour.

Journalist Fabrizio Romano shared the image of the 22-year-old defender, who was accompanied by his agents, the president and founder of the WSA Agency, Alessandro Lucci, and the CEO of the organization, Alessio Ceccarelli.

Calafiori could be a major asset to Arteta’s backline, bringing depth and versatility.

He was a key player for Italian side Bologna last season, playing both as a centre-back and left-back.
