Actress Jennifer Tilly joined the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills for season 14, and her extravagant lifestyle is featured on the reality series.
Jennifer, 66, owns four properties, two of which are next to each other in Bel Air, as well as one in Malibu and another in Las Vegas.
On an episode of RHOBH, Jennifer flaunted a Louis Vuitton-shaped boat bag, which Bravo noted in the show’s title cost $33,000.
Last month, Jennifer revealed on an episode of RHOBH that she still receives ongoing royalties from The Simpsons, after she got a cut in her divorce settlement from ex-husband and Simpsons creator Sam Simon.
Jennifer spoke with MY! News about how people are so interested in hearing about their finances and wealth.
‘I’m amazed. Number one, I don’t consider myself rich. But I guess I’m kidding myself because I have several properties and a portfolio that apparently costs $33,000,” he told the outlet.

He added: “I thought everyone knew I had a part of The Simpsons.” It’s not a big piece, but even a small piece is something worth noting.’
The Oscar-nominated actress, who has been friends with her RHOBH co-star Sutton Stracke for more than 16 years, lives with her professional poker player boyfriend, Phil Laak.
‘My boyfriend and I live very simply and in a very small and messy house. Yes, there is a giant house next door, but we don’t go there. I guess we’re kidding ourselves a little. I don’t have a giant mansion or a chauffeur who calls me Miss Tilly and makes out with me like Sutton’s (Stracke) chauffeur. “I just live my life like I used to live,” he told the outlet.
He noted that he was surprised that people didn’t know that he received royalties from The Simpsons.
He added: “What surprised me was that that was fabulous.” They said, “She has a house next to yours and she bought a $4,000 dress for her doll.” They’re like “high fives.” I thought people would say, “It’s horrible that she spent so much money on a dress for her doll when people are hungry.”
“But I think the service that Housewives provides is that people like to live vicariously through us,” she said.
However, she said she thinks “it’s a little clumsy to flaunt her wealth,” even though she sports weird handbags on the show.
She clarified the price of the bag, which Bravo said cost $33k, which actually cost her only $22k.

‘Actually, it didn’t cost $33,000, which I just clarified right now. They should have had an intern look for him. It’s very strange, maybe in the secondary market they raised the price, but I called my portfolio contact and said, “How much did I pay for that portfolio?” She said “$22,000.”
The star gave his opinion on why fans love the franchise.
‘That’s why people love housewives. “They are very rich and can afford all the plastic surgery the heart could desire and designer clothes and jewelry, but they are still not happy.” That’s the key for housewives. Like, “Wow, if I had all that wealth, I’d be happy.” But these people are miserable. That’s why people like to watch Housewives.

During a confessional in a December episode, Tilly revealed that she actually owns a share of the long-running show, which she got after divorcing Simon.
Tilly’s net worth is estimated to be around $40 million, which includes earnings from her royalties from The Simpsons, acting, reality TV, and nearly $1 million in earnings from playing poker professionally.
‘My ex-husband was Sam Simon, who created The Simpsons. I was married to him for seven years. We were together for about ten years. And then when we got divorced, I got a piece of The Simpsons in the divorce settlement, and no one knew that The Simpsons would continue for billions of years. So every day, honestly, every day, I say, thank you, Sam,” Tilly revealed in the confessional.

Tilly also talked about the money that comes from Simon’s Simpson profits in a November 2021 podcast.
“I used to make a lot of movies because the roof was leaking or to pay for the pipes, and now I don’t have to do that anymore,” Tilly said on the podcast.
