Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. said Wednesday he would sign a ‘non-sabotage pledge’ if President Joe Biden did the same.

Kennedy argued at an event in New York that it is not a ‘spoiler’ because if the election were today, former President Donald Trump would beat Biden whether he is in the race or not.

The blowout would be worse, Kennedy said, if only Trump and Biden were on the ballot, since Trump could flip Virginia and Maine.

“I perform much, much better against President Trump than President Biden,” the former Democrat said.

He then offered to withdraw if polls just weeks before the election no longer showed that, as long as Biden agreed to do the same.

‘This is a ‘no spoiler commitment’ we announced today. This is a commitment that I offer to make if President Biden also makes it,’ he explained. “Both parties agree to co-finance poll in 50 states with 30,000 or more likely voters in mid-October.”

He said this large group of polls would essentially ensure a zero margin of error.

‘The poll will test the results of a head-to-head race, pitting President Biden against President Trump. And a second head-to-head race, facing President Trump,” Kennedy said. “Both parties, whichever performs weaker against President Trump in a two-man race, will drop out of the presidential race.”

Polls by Zogby Analytics, which were released at Kennedy’s event, showed that Kennedy could pull off a victory against Trump if it were a two-person race.

The likelihood of an incumbent president and a candidate from one of the two major parties dropping out of the race in mid-October is virtually zero.

‘Robert F. Kennedy Jr is a saboteur, recruited by the MAGA GOP and supported by Trump’s largest donor. Its similar performance to today’s VEEP does nothing to dispel that notion; “It only reinforces how deeply unserious his campaign is,” Democratic National Committee spokesman Matt Corridoni told DailyMail.com in a statement.

Kennedy, a prominent anti-vaxxer who left the Democratic Party in October to seek a third-party candidacy, has yet to get his name on ballots in every state.

So far, Kennedy’s campaign has gained access to the polls in Michigan – one of the main swing states -, Utah and California.

In Michigan, Kennedy and his running mate, attorney and businesswoman Nicole Shanahan, will represent the little-known Natural Law Party, which already has a reserved spot on the ballot.

Similarly, in California, the Kennedy-Shanahan ticket will represent the American Independent Party of California.

In other states, Kennedy’s campaign has mounted signature-gathering efforts, the usual but onerous way for independent candidates to get on the ballot.

The campaign has said it has gathered enough signatures to appear on ballots in Hawaii, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Idaho, Nebraska, Iowa and Nevada, but those efforts have not been without problems.

In Nevada, the signatures gathered could be discarded because Kennedy needed a running mate named in the paperwork he submitted.

The Nevada signatures were gathered before Shanahan was announced as Kennedy’s vice president pick in March.

The Nevada secretary of state’s office said an official there gave the Kennedy campaign incorrect information but that state law would still have to be followed.

In turn, the Kennedy campaign has threatened to sue Nevada.
